200231020 & 21 Yellow River (Loess Plateau) and Hukou Waterfall!

'''

1. Do you know that 'Loess" means yellow?!!

2. Do you know that the Yellow River starts near the Mongolian side in the west and flows to the East sea in more than 99 turns?
3. Do you know that it separated Shaanxi and Shanxi at the Hukou waterfalls- the mid point of this great river in China? Where is narrows at the place and the water drops over 30m in height here rendering a spectacular vapour and water falls?

The Loess Plateau - such a vast expanse of land formation.

Shaanxi does not get the flooding ! It is the cause of the flooding downstream in Henan area as the yellow sand washed and accumulated over downstream!

************************************************

An interesting video of this great Yellow River and a peek at a Justice Court and a bandits village around this huge mountainous place where the river flows...

and the teapot like waterfalls at Hukou!

Hukou! Waterfalls!

20231019 - Longzhou Danxia/ Aligator Rock / Tongwan City Ruins

The Red earth like mars @ Longzhou and the limestone ruins at Tongwan. Quite a contrast with just 70km apart.

First time walking on the glass bridge! COOL!

Indeed a very rich geographical, archaelogical & historical place of landscape.

The land before time!

In the AD400, 1600 years ago....The Huns and the Hans

*********************************************************

At Jingbian on the road, saw part of the Great Wall ruins too!

Part of the Great wall remains behind !

******************************************

Video of the amazing landscape of land formation and the ruins...

20231018 _Yucha Grand Canyon @ Gangquan!

Though there was lots of land journey from place to place, it was a good experience. From a crowded high mountain of Huashan to to the plateau region up north, the crowd dissipated to hardly any souls!

It was a great contrast.

No more natural private agricultural and animal farming as most are now nationalised.

Their Wind Farms were a plenty!

So what does Shaanxi had to offer?

Lots of corn fields, pessimons, dates, grapes, apples and walnuts!

And you must love lambs! It is a goatie land!

Hardly any porky...cos more muslims with the Hui!

vlog hERE!
