20110221: 2 Cor 5:7 The God of the Already

2 Cor 5:7 " we walk (live) by faith and not by sight"

Faith is actually R-I-S-K.

Forsaking All I Trust Thee - that's F-A-I-T-H.

I am now reading this book "Growing DEEP in Faith' by Edmund Chan. In chapter 2, he talked about our God who is the God of the Already. The miracle recorded in Joshua 3 - the crossing of the Jordon happened much earlier 'a great distance away" where the water already ceased at a town called Adam. V15 "Now the Jordon is at flood stage all during harvest. Yet as soon as the priests who carried the ark reached the Jordon and their feet touched the water's edge, the water from upstream stopped flowing. It piled up into a heap a great distance away, at a town called Adam int he vincinity of Zarethan, while the water flowing dow tho the Sea of the Arabah (the Salt sea) was completely cut off. So the people crossed over the opposite Jericho.."

As I reflected on my recent KL trip of that DTG miracle answered prayer, I felt I was the 'woman of little faith' . But now I realised that the Lord was also teaching me how to really really walk by faith. To trust that He is the God of the Already! Forget about worries! and all the "what ifs"...

It has nothing got to do with how big my faith is. But rather how big my God is. Though I left S'pore with a heavy heart of no answers for the client, the hopeless situation was uttered unto the Lord with a prayer of "pity him and pity us' kind of heaviness of heart. Yet little did I realise that God has already acted on route on the NS highway. God has already done something. He is already on the move ahead of me. He is already answering prayers. Up in KL, a great distance away from S'pore, the miracle has already begun! Just as in Joshua 3.

Reflections
Why? It was a lesson of a walk of faith in Him who is more than able.
It is also an encouragement to me experiencing His divine power and promise.
Joshua3:7: "..so that they may know that I am with you as I was with Moses"
Joshua 3:10:"This is how you will know that the living God is among you.."

Anyone going through tough times? Think about it. We have Jesus on our side. We are already on the victory side. The battle belongs to the Lord and He has already won for us !
To experience this , we need to take a step of faith and plunge. RISK it. It is worth it.
Had I not make the decision to drive up to KL in the last minute, I would not have experience Him- to know that the living God is indeed among us.! It takes some courage to act, would you too?

20110209:DTG prayer & miracle!

Today, the Lord did a little miracle for us in KL at the muslim client's place. Thanks to Ad too whom we shared on why we had to leave for KL on such an urgent basis. I am still in awe with what He did. Even the M couldn't understand (because he had problem printing all this time since last year and yet when we were there, all the problems no longer persists?? Strange? But true!)

Hence all I can attest is that He loved us and this M too. For that reason, He "healed" the printing equipment which we sold to him last year. (we did not even do any repair on it...I believe the Lord heard our "DTG" (Direct -to -God) concerns and He did the miracle even before we got there). Ha Ha Ha! I even showed him our the What's app conversations betw Ad and I..also the part that 'J should lay hands on it" by Ad ..ha ha ha..Ad prayed that we would be a blessing to him and I believe that Lord did just that.....prayer answered.

1 Tim 1:6 "For this reason I remind you to fan into fan the gift of God, which is in you through the laying of hands"

I recalled the same DTG equipment while also in KL few years back. We were then in attending an exhibition where the local agent over there was exhibiting this equipment. But machine ran into some problems even on Day1. We felt sorry and decided in the past noon that I laid hands on it and together with my hubby, we went to a little corner to pray. Hey presto! About barely less than twenty minutes later when we walked back to the booth, the machine was up and running! oH what a joy of seeing a miracle of a resurrected machine! Our principal who was there asked why we had not done that earlier instead? Umm...Indeed!

Reflections:
The gift of God in us through the laying of hands. We are the change agents. He is the power source. He is the vine, we are the branches. Without Him, we cannot do anything. But I just realised how much He loved us. Even before we act in the laying of hands, I believed the DTG prayer was already answered in the North-South highway on route to KL. Amen! PTL! (But I did not have the faith earlier like the Centurion..only now as I reflected..indeed the Lord hear our prayer and our cry! Did not expect the miracle! Oh man of little faith!!! ha ha Ha!)
