Awesome!

What an exciting noon! XR texted and I decided to look up to the sky!

Lo and Behold! What a awesome sight!

Rolled down the car windows to capture some of these shots!

Arrived at Redhill Hawker Centre! Continue to GAWK and AWE!

Rainbow around!

and this is me with the "Halo" above! Ha ha ha1

Here below from Gardens by the bay!
Great capture!

Here below a full one from Bukit Batok - a friend's capture!

By the time we finished our lunch at Redhill about 12:30pm, the halo was gone....

It was in the news this evening! This sun halo sighting!

https://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/singapore/sun-halo-singapore-sky-weather-13133070

How it is formed?
Circular halo (or also known as 22 degrees halo) - it forms as direct sunlight is refracted in millions of hexagonal ice crystals suspended in the atmosphere. Usually through thin, high altitude cirrus or cirrostratus clouds.  As light passes through these hexagon-shaped ice crystals, it is bent at a 22 degree angle, creating a circular halo around the Sun.

Yes, it lasted about 40min.

Apparently, such halos do appear in our skies far more than rainbows!
But for me, this was my first sighting a sun Halo here in little red dot!

Hello Hello? What a Halo!
Thot I was a SAINT for some moments today!
Like Real!
ha ha Ha!
What a Joy!
thank You Lord for this awesome sighting!
Our hearts leapt for joy!

Today is 22nd Sep 2020 & we had a 22 degree Halo!

20200909-Chestnut Northern Trek

9/9/2020 Morning Walk @ Chestnut Nature Park - Northern Route

Heard about this nature park that is good for mountain biking.
But also heard that the terrain was hilly and can be rough.
Well, decided to take a walk on the wednesday morning instead.

True enough, it was pleasant, rustic, green covered. Cooling!
And biking?
Thank God we took a peep! Yes, not easy at all!

Started at 8:30am.  And we took only the Northern Loop this time and not the Southern Loop.

After this watch tower, we turning into the little path that leads to Mandai Zoo!

But we were not aware it was a one-way road as the signage was not clear . Had to email to Nparks after this walk :)

Thanks to a biker who told us we were walking to Mandai! So we decided to turn back.

Walk ended about 10:30am.

Southern Trail ? - next walk!

20200913-A kayak to Simpang River Mangroves (Sembawang)

13/9/2020 First attempt at Kayaking! $95 - 4 hours!

What a Sunday Morning of Arm and Torso muscle exercise!
Arriving at Sembawang Park at 7:30am, a debrief by our guide Desmond on the paddling and we set off to one of the last few mangroves in Spore!

This is the Simpang River Trail , off Sembawang and we could see Pasir Gudang, Malaysia as we paddled!  Saw a palm size atlas Moth on one of the leaves!

Had some snacks of curry puffs and fruits on a little strip of tiny land midway before we paddled back.
By noon, we were back on shore!

God was so good and faithful on this 13/9/2020. We had a cloudy non hot day at sea. It was only after our lunch at about 1:30 pm that the downpour came! So thankful! YEAH!
