20220805 : Rev 2-3 -The Seven Churches

5/8/22 Morning Revelation of the 7 churches with acronym!

Interesting Re read of rev 7 churches.

Problem and overcomer acronym!

1. Ephesus - Ended first love ( tree of life )

2. SMyrna - $ with sounds like no money!( no hurt in second death )

3. Pergamum- Prince False on throne (Hidden manna & new name on white stone)

4. Thyatira - Terror Jezebel (authority over nations )

5. Sardis- Sleeping ! ( white dress and no blot out in name from book of life)

6. Philadelphia - Perseverance! (Name of God on him)

7. Laocidea - Lukewarm! ( right to sit on Father’s throne )

Acronyms to help Rem the 7 church’s issues! Got to overcome to reap the rewards in brackets). ❤️

Lessons learnt:

Not to forsake our first love. Not to fall for false teachings of Balam and Nicolatians. Not to covert for $. Not to hv any Jezebel spirit. Not to sleep. Not to be lukewarm. But be able to persevere to the end. 😂

20220730-20220801-KL-Sitiawan-gua tempurung caves

30th July 2022 - Group at Gua Tempurung Caves, Ipoh, Perak

This trip was one of the earlier trips resumed after 3 years of lockdown!
Gosh. Time flies. So off to KL to meet cousin and a 30 over year gap of John's classmate! Then hopped on to join the KL group for our 3D2N Sitiawan trip again!
The last meet up was 2018! Same Sitiawan but the highlight then was the SKY MIRROR.

This trip, the highlight was the Gua Tempurung Caves at Ipoh! From the sea to the mountain! This cave - 3.5km, one of the longest in Malaysia. But the more scenic ones are in Sabah.  Still, we had an enjoyable walk of about an hour inside.

Revisited Petaling Street on arrival!

Beautiful Sunrise from EkoCheras Apt

Went to Cheras - Connaught Market!

Left KL at 5:30am! Reached the caves finally!

After the caves....off to Papan, Pusing - an old mining town of less than 160 persons now!

Met this new Papan Village Head who is trying to restore this place to a historical tourist place!

Then off to this SINFUL place to eat their ROAST PORK and Char siew! Gosh!

Then off to Sitiawan...passed by this Kellie Castle! Batu Gajah
Well, the British came to Malaysia ! Got the tin! and build the first railway in Ipoh back then!
So out in the big land, came this castle of this Scottish man - William Kelly Smith! Started building this in 1915.. construction ended in 1926 before completion.  Spanish flu. He died and wife went back to Scotland.  The builders were mainly Tamils. So they asked him to build a temple nearby.  In return of his generosity, they build a statue of him beside the other deities on the temple wall (Yes, we saw his statue when the coach stopped for us to view!)

Sitiawan - a FOO CHOW place...so we had FC dinner!

Sitiawan - is also a SEAFOOD PLACE....so we had FISH HEAD for Breaky!

MORE SEAFOOD for dinner!!!!

This dinner cost RM70 per head.  Much better than the RM40 per head for the fish and Bak ku teh for breaky! LOL.

The Next Day... we went to Pangkor Island! Nothing much....we bought the 6:30 ferry back after arriving at 1:45pm.  But couldn't last that long...
Quite crowded!

So lucky us...we managed to squeezed into the ferry for the 4pm Ferry! Thanks to SK giving the kids as an excuse....

Sitiawan is also famous for the noodles and the GONG Piah
Out of the little row of houses came the NOODLE shop and the Linda GONG piah by oven baking!  Then we travelled to downtown to get the tradition piah by the charcoal tandoori style of baking!  Baker was kind of superstitious! We were not supposed to ask "will the piah drop off from the side?" Gosh Jackie asked that...in the end of the 4 clay pots, the one which she referred to? The piah kept falling off from the side! Oh DEAR! Call it superstition? Poor baker- he must be frustrated later.

Here is the video of the morning noodle and piah process in the making!

Reflection

Left KL on 2/8/22 at 10:30am.
Arrived in JB around 2pm.
God was good.  At Kulai, the rain came down hard.

But we did not realise until we reached Spore later around 5pm that there was such a heavy rain that flooded JB downtown near to Woodlands side! Fortunately, we took Tuas.

JOHOR BARU: Flash floods hit several parts of Johor Baru city following a two-hour downpour which started around noon.

The flooded roads are Jalan Yahya Awal, Jalan Ayer Molek and Jalan Wong Ah Fook in downtown Johor Baru.

The downpour also caused flooding around the Sultanah Aminah Hospital (HSA) at Jalan Persiaran Abu Bakar Sultan fronting the Lido Beach.

The Star photographer Thomas Yong who was at the HSA said the flooding resulted in some vehicles finding it difficult to enter the hospital.

"The flash floods took place due to high tide which occurred at about 1.42pm and downpour around noon," Johor Malaysia Civil Defence Force (APM) spokesman said in a statement.

OOPS!
Thank God! We escaped this!
