20110902: Of cherubims! The day I Flew! -2 Sam 22:11/ Ps 18:10

What a feeling! Wind tunnel speed at 160 -240 km/hour coming from below causing the lift!
What great aerodynamics! A year ago, we started chasing wind to launch our kites. But this year, I get to fly!!!

Guess this is one of the experience of a lifetime!
Doubt I will ever get to jump out of a plane to do a sky dive...so this is as close as it can get!

Really thanks to Gina for the pair of free tickets...

I-Fly Singapore @ Sentosa- newly opened in May 2011 this year.

One of the 30+ air tunnels around the world!

Post flight Reflections:
I just realised that perhaps Yahweh does not fly on His own? He rides on cherubs!! Ha Ha!
2 Sam 22 :11 or Ps 18:10
" He mounted the cherubim and flew; he soared on the winds of the wind"

In fact now I think He is always above the cherubims. Eze 1:25-28 "Then there came a voice from above the expanse over their heads (Cherubs) as they stood with lowered wings" Above the expanse over their heads was what looked like a throne of a sapphire and above on the throne was a figure like that of a man...waist up ...glowing metal as if full of fire, a brilliant light surrounded him..like the appearance of rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was radiance around him."

What are cherubs? Interesting...more of my thoughts coming for this month

Well, I am no feathered bird or a cherub or seraphim for this matter. Man has no wings. Yet, against the wind speed of above 160km/hour against our straightened spread-out body ...man can fly!(it is the landing that is in question!..one still needs a parachute) Think for a moment - out of the box...with God nothing is impossible, eh? Cherubs which are mentioned many times in the bible whereas the seraphim is only mentioned once in Isaiah - well, they are graphic descriptions of the awesome living creatures created by our Creator Yahweh indeed. Imagine how they look like? I cannot imagine at this moment of their 4 faced or 2 faced thing!
