20/12/17-25/12/17 : Khao Yai Again! Phi 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say, Rejoice!
It is about a year since I went to Khao Yai with loved ones (17pax) , leaving behind John who had to cancel that trip due to ailing dad. So this year , given a chance to go ahead upon the invite of his classmate KY & A , we joined the 18 pax group (9 couples) .
Most were from Malaysia and so we flew our way up to BKK airport to meet the pack.
There were several similar places of interest in this trip : Palio, Primo, Chokchai Farm, a different sunflower field, MidWinter Green, PB Valley... What was the difference were the Bloom, The Hobbit (where all the ladies relish their childhood dreams by dressing up in the fairy tale costumes and the hubbies turned official photographers! Kind of cute just watching them parade around!)
The group intended to stay 2 days in KY and proceed to BKK for another 3 nites. However, we prefered to linger in KY for another 2 days with a round of golf in mind before joining them back in BKK for Christmas.
One of the highlights in this trip was that our scheduled plan for the golf came to nought! Why? Simply because when we booked from Agoda, there was no mention of a golf tournament black out date for us! It was a learning lesson for us!
So we ended up biking around the golf course instead! LOL and planned for a day trip to Jim Thompson Farm (about 100km up north & then to Toscana). The hotel GM Yim was pretty helpful. He gave us a complimentary main course pizza upon hearing our disappointment of "No Golf" and also linked up up to a tour agent.
Jim Thompson - And they send to us a very young 21 year old guide- Banh!
Last year I did not manage to go into Toscana. The sunflowers field which we took our photos from directly opposite of this Toscana were completely barren this time:( This is a mini Italy!
Reflections
The sight of sunflowers brings great warm, cheer and joy. Indeed an awesome sight to rejoice. Hence I remember Phi 4:4. REJOICE!
Perhaps one of the most memorable part of this trip was the eye opener dinner on our Christmas eve dinner at Tawadang German Brewery! This dining place was huge with live band performances. Each table served by at least one waiter/waitress and they doubled to perform on stage towards the end! And Thais are generally good dancers. The meal for the 20 of us came up to about S$20 which was deemed reasonable as we stayed from 8pm till 12:30am.
Final Thoughts over Christmas in Thailand
We wanted to have a countdown to Christmas at this Brewery dining place. However, we only came to realise that Thais do not celebrate Christmas as it is still predominantly a Buddhist country. There was no public hol for them on 25/12.
As Christians, we have the Lord. His joy is our strength. The Thais in this place as I observed may not know HIm. However they seemed to be able to hang loose and enjoy themselves in songs and dance and movements. Perhaps it is the Thai culture of dancing as way of life?
The Thais are unified group in terms of cultural language. When it came to a band Performing "Sabai Sabai",meaning all is well or good in thai - many rose from the chairs and they sang and they danced. We did likewise. Cos it is crowd thing. LOL
And I fell in love with this song " Sabai Sabai"
As I look towards the closure of 2017, all is well all is well in Him. He is faithful always.
If those Thais can be so joyful, how much more should we not especially for us who knows Him. The joy of the Lord is our strength. He that made our hands and legs and body, let us all give praise unto Him with thanksgiving as we bade 2017 goodbye?
“And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.” ~ Revelation 5:8
The Bible often indicates that harps were used as part of the worship of God to express with joy and gladness their praise and honor to the almighty. The harp represents the happiness and the peaceful characteristics that are realized when people are in one accord, (as the true “heavenly Jerusalem”, the one true church,) to honor and worship God on the throne of their hearts.
There are many references to this in scripture:
“Of Jeduthun: the sons of Jeduthun; Gedaliah, and Zeri, and Jeshaiah, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six, under the hands of their father Jeduthun, who prophesied with a harp, to give thanks and to praise the LORD.” ~ 1 Chronicles 25:3
“Praise the LORD with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings.” ~ Psalms 33:2
Many of the psalms were written by David the harp player. His heart was so devoted to God in worship, that when he played, evil spirits would be driven away.
“And it came to pass, when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul, that David took an harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him.” ~ 1 Samuel 16:23
And so David expressed much of his praise while playing the harp.
“Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God.” ~ Psalms 43:4
“I will also praise thee with the psaltery, even thy truth, O my God: unto thee will I sing with the harp, O thou Holy One of Israel.” ~ Psalm 71:22
“Sing unto the LORD with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm.” ~ Psalm 98:5
“Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp.” ~ Psalm 150:3
Note: to the contrary, when God is not being properly honored by complete obedience, and there is mixed among religious people: self-worshiping, self-agendas, strife and division. In this condition, worship cannot be truly joyful, happy and peaceful. The reason is that any true worshipers have been mixed with the majority that are nothing more than fake Christians. This is a spiritual condition described as a “Babylon.” No true heart felt harp playing can be done there.
“By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion. We hanged our harps upon the willows in the midst thereof. For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion. How shall we sing the LORD’s song in a strange land? If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning. If I do not remember thee, let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth; if I prefer not Jerusalem above my chief joy.” ~ Psalms 137:1-6
The Jerusalem he is speaking of is the heavenly one, come from God out of heaven by the way of salvation through Jesus Christ. The true church of God.
“But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.” ~ Galatians 4:26
“And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.” ~ Revelation 21:2
“But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.” ~ Hebrews 12:22-24
This is why we need Jesus to be fully and properly honored in worship. Without being fully consecrated and submitted, as is shown in Revelation 5:8, there will be no Revelation opened by Jesus! There will be no playing of music or song from the depths of our heart in honor to him! And like as it was in Babylon, we will not be able to worship, and Jesus’ presence will not be felt. Jesus wants to commune with his true and faithful bride only!
Is your heart fully in tune with Jesus as a harp that is played beautifully? Is the place where you worship spiritually like a beautiful orchestra where everyone is playing the same melody in honor and praise to Christ?
It has been an honour and great opportunity for me to try out a harp on 13/12/17.
This so called chance upon meeting of a harper teacher was perhaps not a coincidence. From my niece carousell sale to this god-given chance to learn a new instrument. Perhaps it was also a desire of my little heart. I had always thought of those musical instruments like this harp and lyre. What is the difference? How did the ancient ones invented such a beautiful sounding instrument.
Even Rev 14:2 mentioned about the sound from heaven. The sound that John heard was like that of harpists playing their harps. Oh my! I can only imagine!
So come 2018, I shall be taking up this new musical instrument for the new season!

A beautiful sunset glow.
Ps136:7 To him that made great lights for his mercy endures forever
The sun to rule by day; for his mercy endures forever
In the beginning of Genesis, in verse 3, God spoke light into existence.
And today, we know the sun is the star at the centre of the universe system.
It is the brightest star by apparent visual magnitude. (150,000,000 km from earth)
It is big. 1,390,000 km in diameter.
It is hot.
It is of huge mass.
It is a hot ball of glowing gases.
Its gravity holds the solar system together.
It has strong magnetic currents.
Without the interaction of this sun and our earth, we won't get our seasons, ocean currents, weather, climate and the radiation. Hmm.....
Thanks to the sun! That made that beautiful sunset glow which caught my eye last week. Walking over the overhead bridge, I could't help but to pause for a moment to behold the beauty of that orange glow.
Reflections
Ps 136 is a psalm of "His mercy endures forever"
Merely 26 verses of "His mercy endures forever". Like the 26 alphabets, the alpha and omega- the first and the last exalts us to give thanks unto the LORD (the God of heaven.. For He is good) His mercy endures forever.
Indeed. To Him who made great lights, His mercy endures forever.
Decembers are known for her cool and rainy days.
But , without the sun, the days will be gloomy looking.
The sun rays are bright and gave us hope.
But alas, like all stars, the sun will someday run out of energy.
When the sun starts to die, it will swell so big and will engulf Mercury, Venus and perhaps even Earth?
However, scientists predict the sun is a little less than halfway through its lifetime and will last another 6.5 billion years before it shrinks to a white dwarf.
When will that be?
For me, perhaps not in my lifetime.
I will probably be turned into ashes before this event of a diminishing sun.
Well, need to continue to look towards this Son instead all the time.
SO 12 more days to Christmas 2017. The Son of God, Jesus Christ - came for me some 2017 years ago. We are the reason that He came and gave His life.
One of the questions that came ringing back to me was why the mini-bus driver LEE overslept for more than an hour of our scheduled pickup time! To me, that was irresponsible!
The decision for us to make the changes to drive in to JB in 2 cars instead was spontaneous. Imagine we had already placed S$100 deposit with this driver. The thought of trying to get back this deposit was on my mind.
However, he was given a second chance to 'redeem' himself. We allowed him to pick up back at Jurong Point Mall as we took it upon ourselves to park our cars in the mall instead. That cost us another $14 each for the parking fee:(
Being the organizer for this trip for my classmates, I wished the driver came on time! He was recommended through another friend who had engaged him for a recent trip. So it was a little unexpected to encounter an MIA situation! LOL.
Some thanksgiving despite this little HICCUP!
There were initially 11 of us. But for some reason, 3 could not make it the last minute and hence we could drive in 2 cars (just nice 8 pax) to JB still!
The Lord only allowed me to see histagline "666 - Devil" in grey print behind his mobile number in the group chat after the trip! John was using an android so strangely this tagline did not appear at all. And I did not notice this until sat morning after the trip! (Think the Lord did not want us to see this earlier!...Despite the sluggish manner of this driver's response to our queries earlier before the trip, and for S$50 cheaper than other quotes, we had decided to use him! Oh my!!) Freaky! Had we seen the tagline much earlier, we would not have engaged him!
Half way through the journey on route to Yong Peng, this driver Lee switched with another driver Wei! It was along the NS highway around Machap! Why? Cos Wei's bus had technical issue and Lee was better in repairing the bus. So we had to change the drivers! Oh My! The police car was just behind the broken down bus. Well, thank God for His protection over us. Despite the change , we were kept safe and sound throughout ! Also, we felt that Wei was a better and nicer driver than Lee:)
We had a really SUMPTIOUS dinner at Peking Restaurant! Never knew that this place serve such seafood ! And it actually cost more than our whole day trip cost combined! LOL. But for the fellowship we had on this journey, it was still great fun and revelation to know each other much better than we had ever known ! Garlics, onions....Hmmm
Till then....another excursion to bring back memories of our school days...some 30 years on....
Attended Red Cross 3-Day First Aid with CPR & AED : 13/11/17 -15/11/17 It has been 6 months since that drowning encounter in Rottness , Perth. Had set my mind to be equipped with some first aid, especially CPR techniques. Though I never would wish to use it in any circumstances hopefully. But, it is perhaps a skill which I thought it would be useful should I encounter another similar case in future . That helpless scene at the beach haunted me for a while.
So after 3 days of learning and practising & tests ...bandages (Arm Sling vs elevated slings & when to use with different types of fractures), CPR, use of AED and being aware of the standard procedures of basic first aid to choking, scalds, stings, fractures, burns, bleeds, non-breathing events, finally got the above certification which is valid for 2 years.
But as the instructor had reiterated, it is important to be bold to put that to the good use when circumstances arise. And not to freak out!
Afterthots
Interestingly, our creator God has given to us some major organs like the heart and lungs. Once the heart stopped beating within the critical time frame of 4 -6 minutes, the survival rate of the person diminishes. The brain dies.
So until I attended this course did I appreciate the importance of time.
My pair of hands that is supposed to do the 30:2 compressions of 4-6cm deep is actually a critical "pump" on behalf of a non-beating heart for that non-breathing victim. And we are required to do at least 100-120 compressions per cycle - non stop. And that is actually a pretty exhausting physical activity!
The Heart. Our Breath.
I cannot even hold my breath for more than 1/2 a minute!
Reflection
The Red Cross Symbol is actually a symbol of hope. So with this training which just ended, I pray that my pair of hands would become a hope to anyone in distress with cardiac arrest or choking in future.
In Gen2:7 : The LORD God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living thing. (That is you and me)
In Job 33:4 : Job declared " The Spirit of God has made me and the breath of the Almighty gives me life"
When Paul was passing by Athens in Acts 17:22, he found the people worshiping "an unknown God".
Are we ignorant or indecisive to believe there is such a Creator God who create humans and that He alone holds our breath and determines our days on earth?
The Human Heart is such a complicated organ - with the chambers and the valves and the arteries that drives the whole body into its being. It looks as if God is forever doing His CPR on us with the unique heart which He had wonderfully created..
Acts 17:24-26 "God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that He is the Lord of heaven and earth, dwells not in temples made with hands. Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed anything., seeing he gives to all life, and breath and all things. And he has made of one blood all nations of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined the times before appointed, and the bound of their habitation"
Pause for a moment, my friends.
Place your hand on your chest AND feel the pumping of your heart.
Place your three fingers on your left wrist or the upper left elbow and marvel at the consistent beats.
Have you ever wondered why you are still alive today now?
Well, Acts 17:28 -29 declares this wonder of life. "For in him we live, and move, and have our being, as certain also of your own poets have said , For we are also his offspring. Foreasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like to gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device"
And I suggest that we shall not remain ignorant or indifferent or indecisive now. Listen to your beating heart.
I pray that you would seek the Lord, feel after him and find him. He is not far from us actually.
Because Acts 17:30 " And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commands all men everywhere to repent."
Time to resuscitate your "dead' heart with a heart of repentance? Time to inject the electric current of 160 joules using your AED to allow the Holy Spirit to come through?
Now is the time. Wait no more. Remember it only takes less than 6 min for your brain to die once your heart stops beating. And you may never know when that beating heart of yours will actually stop its thumping! And once you are brain dead, you will no longer be ignorant cos the brain cannot think anymore. You need not decide cos you have lost your capability to make decisions. You are no different from a living corpse!
John 2 recorded the first miracle of Jesus at the marriage in Cana of Galilee. He turned water into wine rather instantaneously! Jesus simply told the servants to FILL the water pots with water and the next moment he told them to DRAW from it! Bravo! Out came the wine! This miracle story often made me wonder how this could happen so fast. Even before I started this test case of making my own Hakka wine (recipe from my MIL and youtube), wine making to me is a process of fermentation - it takes days if not weeks for a good wine to be produced!!! And it is not a simple process. It is pretty tedious Like this sequence of photos taken with my 1kg glutinous rice, rice wine yeast balls and red Hong Ju.
So what is the meaning of 'Miracle'? According to the Merriam , it means "an extraordinary event manifesting divine intervention in human affairs" Well, Jesus turning water into wine is indeed a miracle. My Hakka wine takes about a month for the 1 kg rice to produce a little bit of wine! Jesus short cut the entire process by seconds! Reflection What does this trial wine making reminded me? Hmm. Jesus is indeed the Miracle Maker. He is Super Man. He came as ordinary man but He performed extraordinary events. He is indeed who He declared Himself to be! The Lamb of God who came to take away the sins of man through the painful cross of death. As the year 2017 comes to a close in another month time - it is a time of reflection once again. Christmas is a time of dine and wine. It is also a time of thanksgiving to Him who came to give us this extraordinary gift of life. ********************************************************** 2/12/2017 : After 3 weeks...harvested this wine! Verdict : Too sweet to many's liking...not enough wine taste! So, I am going to tweek the above recipe by adding 1 litre of water to the pot after 4 days of fermantation as per advice by my Beijing neighbour! Hope that would work better! And with this remaining sweet wine, I am going to do the rice wine chicken instead!
Alas how well prepared were we for this little adventure?
Not that well but full of surprises and in the end we did cope!
The little poem above perhaps summarised it all as I reflected on this 'adventure' the 6 of us had! Trekking up this Endau Rompin Selai Malaysia National Park was a real eye opener for all of us!
What is the meaning of prepare?
It is simply to make ready.
What is the objective of this trek?
This trek was a test of our mental and physical stamina -from beginning to end.
The end of the reward was to witness the awesome waterfalls.
Were we prepared for this trek?
Perhaps 90% we were - gears and all.
But what we did not anticipate was the journey and obstacles we had to endure.
First was the muddy and narrow paths.
Then came the streams and little rocks
And the worst was the leeches encounter
Then came the ropes that made us go uphill and downhill!
Those who "PREPARED" themselves:-
John the Baptist PREPARED the way for the Lord Jesus- He was the voice of the one calling in the desert "Make straight the way for the Lord (John 1:23)
Abraham PREPARED his son Isaac as a burnt offering for God (Gen 22)
David PREPARED his only 5 smooth stones and sling to struck down Goliath to let the whole world know there is a God in Israel, for the battle belongs is the LORD's. (1 Sam17)
Esther PREPARED herself for 12 months of beauty treatments before presenting herself to the King
Ruth PREPARED to glean in the field and lay at Boaz's feet at the threshing floor to redeem herself and ended up with the amazing genealogy of David & Jesus Christ
Mary who PREPARED her expensive nard perfume and washed Jesus' feet with her hair & perfume (John 12:3)
Even Jesus is PREPARING a place for us right now (John 14:3)
And God has PREPARED a city too for us (Heb11:16)
Like this trekking lesson, Prov 24:27 reminded me of "Finishing my outdoor work and getting my fields ready, after that building my house" Despite any obstacles that come my way, be it the climbs or the leeches and the mud, like Mat 24:13 , we "shall learn to endure unto the end, the same shall be saved" Luke 12:47 is a stark reminder if we do not prepare well for His coming " And that servant, which knew his Lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes"
The reward of soaking in the refreshing cool waterfalls was memorable.
The rope along the paths we trekked, provided great help and hope.
Such a physical reflection requires a spiritual evaluation of the same.
Reflections
May the LORD prepare my heart , hand and feet. Ready 24/7. Send me. Luke 19:13 The parable of the 10 minas. Occupy till I come! Amen!
Many asked me how on earth did I get to organise this particular trek? Well, it just so happened that I picked up one flyer from the Tourism Malaysia booth at the Sutera Mall on sat evening in Aug2017. I had literally no idea that this trek can be so challenging! In ignorance, managed to gather 6 people to partake in this adventure of our lifetime! With many FIRST experiences encountered by all of us! It was all about mud, leeches, streams of waters, gushing rivers, waterfalls and all the up and down steep climbs with ropes! In a nut shell! But did we enjoy it? All of us - above 50 and 60 : Yes we did despite the challenges! LOL. With a pat on our backs, here is the photo summary! Day 1 : 12/10/17 : (THU) We departed from Spore at 2pm in one car to JB for overnite stay.
Massages and makan in JB!
Day 2: 13/10/17 (FRI) Initially due to depart at 8am from JB home. Alas, the YN's rented car driver lost his way in JB and we ended leaving at 9:20 instead :) 10:30 am Arrived at Yong Peng. Stopped for fish ball noodles! 11:30 am Arrived at Bekok
Met our Host, Teo CJ( Far right) , Dino (Middle) and Akmar (Our mountain guide)
Got to register and sign off at the Nat park office before we packed into 2 4-wheel drive to go into the national park.
We had to unload our bottled water and barang into the 4 wheel drive.
From Bekok to the base of our chalet - it took a rolling up and down drive of 1 hour into the mountain.
About 1 pm: Arrived at the base of the mountain chalet.
Above: 4 of us stayed in the family chalet (The whole chalet area is able to accomodate about 100 pax) Below Left : Anouther couple in 2 bedder. Below right : The dining area is open air with a small kitchen attached.
Had our first lunch on arrival at base!
The kitchen area...where Akmal's mummy cooked her yummy meals for us every day.
Because of the pricing and eco place, all of us had to wash our own cutlery after use:)
2:30pm : Off we went for first day trek to Takah Pandan Waterfalls! Degree of Difficulty : 7-8 /10 (Intermediate)
After being sucked by many leeches and going through the ups and downs of the vertical climbs with the help of ropes in those muddy narrow treks, E & BS finally made it to firstone of the 4 waterfalls in Endau Rompin! This Pandan waterfall boasts of the highest drop among the 4. It is the one that is the nearest from the base with just an hour plus trek to arrival! However, the waters were not so "swimmable" due to many branches and roots in the waters.
6pm : Back at the Base finally!
Washed our shoes in the river nearby.
And BS found more leeches on his body! Oh My! YAKS!
9 pm : Singing in the family living room of our chalet! And played rummy cards!
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
DAY 3 : 14/10/2017 SAT
Degree of difficulty : 5-6/10 (Intermediate)
9:15 am : Set off for the second trek to another waterfalls called Takah Tempaang
This trek was longer in time but less steep climbs. However we had to remove our shoes to walk through streams before reaching our waterfalls :)
About past 11 am : We arrived at the streams where we needed to change our shoes to slippers
Met our beloved leeches again...one almost crawled into John's navel ! Oh My! BS's cigarette was too much to burn the navel, so he used his fingers to yank it out instead! LOL.
About 15 minutes from this stream walking - we finally arrived!
..................at the beautiful Takah Tempaang! Awesome cool waters! Fishes in waters! Natural Jacuzzis!
Fish feeding!
Water massages!
Felt so reluctant to leave this awesome waterfalls !
Great swim in the waters! Pretty deep though...not for non-swimmers!
After an hour long at this resting place, we had no choice but to trek back to base at about 1 pm.
3:15pm : Arrived back at base to have a late lunch
4pm : Went to do the river tubing!
Guess what happened? All the 3 guys fell into the water during the tubing! Only the ladies remained intact in the tubes! LOL
After breaky we went for the Herb gardens walk and the blow pipe event
Giant ants......
11am : Bye bye to the Base!
Bye Bye to the glorious food...Breakfast , Lunch, Tea, Dinner & Supper !
12 noon : Arrived at Bekok again...a small town with only about 3000 residents
You can take the train from JB central to Bekok - one way S$6 ticket! This old train will soon make way for the new high speed train in few years time....
Bekok - a place where there were many wall arts...painted by painters from Penang.....
Reflections
It was a little brochure that led us to this adventure...
Had I known it was a pretty challenging trek prior to coming, would I have proceeded? Ha Ha..chances that I would not dare to bring friends along unless they are all pretty fit and healthy!
Perhaps it was also a wrong season to be trekking..as it was nearing the monsoon period where the national park would be closed from Nov till Jan.
It had been raining prior to our scheduled trek on 13/10/17.
But still, our prayers were heard as it did not rain when we arrive for the 2 day trekking! Praise God!
Look at the weather forecast which I checked earlier! Supposed to be thunderstorms! But The Lord gave us perfect weather instead!
The DOs....
Best to trek from April - Sep where it is dry!
Be prepared to meet leeches during the wet season!
Bring cigarettes, vinegar or ash water to rid the leeches! And insect repellants!
Wear long NON-BLACK (To see the leech!) socks and tights (so that they will not enter the body ) through the loose clothings!
Must wear good water proof shoes as the mud can be tricky (Mine Geotex boots proved its manufacturer's claim! Double confirmed after this trek!:)
Must bring scuba shoes or good slippers for the walk in the streams
Must bring trek poles as they really help to push you up the slopes!
Must bring lots of water and energy bars for the long treks!
Must bring haversacks and not sling bags
Must wear loose comfortable breatheable tops (the sweat is tremendous)
Well, there are 3 main entrances to this beautiful natural rainforest of more than 248 mio years old. From Pahang side, or Kluang or Bekok side. A good guide who can speak English would be most helpful and make the trip more enjoyable. At the end of the trek for the great natural waterfalls would be our best reward which we found in this Endau Rompin - Selai Trek via Bekok.
If we above 50s and 60s can do it, I am sure you can too!
We did not drown in the streams or during the water tubing down the river!
We saw many beautifully coloured butterflies at the rest area where the streams were!
And with this end of the nature trek, it is a good reminder of our Creator God who made this ancient rainforest.
Many of us saw a real leech for the first time.
Let alone being sucked of the blood!
And whatever it is, we were safe and sound throughout the climb and waters.
We were exhausted after the second day trek that we cried "Wow Daddy! Wow Daddy!" ( to be translated in dialect :)) LOL...
But it was all a great unforgettable and memorableADVENTUREof our life time!
Will definitely go down memory lanes in years to come.
And with a proud pat on our back...
We can all say...
We did it! Yeah!
Got our certificates!
For this "COMMANDO" training!
P/s: By far this Rompin trek is one of the toughest among the earlier ones done - Mt Pulai in March this year, Jeju mountains in July this year and the one in Albany Castle rock in Sep last year! Bukit Timah and other treks now seem like chicken feet? LOL
