The Tree of Life Reflections....

Ummm, TOL is mentioned 3x in Genesis and 4x in Revelation!! 7 TIMES!

(Gen 2:9, Gen 3:22 & gen 3:24) [Rev2:7, Rev22:2, Rev 22:14 & Rev 22:19

What an awesome TOL that brings hope of the restoration of the life-giving presence of God! 

Jesus was hung on the tree for the forgiveness of our sins.

His blood that was shed for us the remission of sins.

His offer of Himself declaring "He is the Way, the Truth and the Life"

No one can come to the Father except through His son Jesus Christ.

In Him we move & have our being.

Have you ever wondered about how we human beings and animal basic need of air?

We , like animals, need to breathe in OXYGEN.  But we breathe out CARBON DIOXIDE!

"SO....PLEEEZZZ -

Dont' CUT me down . No chopping off...

I take time to grow!"

But this is completely the OPPOSITE in the TREE world.

During the DAY, the leaves in the trees take in the CO2 (Photosynthesis) from the air and create the O2 that we need to breathe. (but at night, the reverse happens @ 30% for CO2)

Thank God for making Litte Red Dot

What makes you Happy?

Is it $, more $, more possessions? Bigger house? Bigger career title? Health?

To me, happiness is like :-

• Seeing a Kingfisher on a rooftop!

• Getting the 'accordian' like stools! 

•  Watching friends smiling and chatting , sitting on the new found stools!

•  Enjoying a soju on the new bar table top with bums resting on bar stools (especially with hubby)

•  Watching the sun setting at the balcony ! 

•  Admiring the sun rising again...

Perhaps keeping the simplicity of capturing moments . Being happy!

 Hope you are happy too!

Giving thanks to my Lord Jesus Christ 

for the breath of life for this happiness!

20211019_ Tents and Trellis

 

Today is 19/10/21! Another Tuesday with Mui Mui!

I am not an early bird . I am more of an Owl?

But had an early night so managed to wake up at 6:45AM!

So off we rode to Lower Botanic this round with our coffee and buns.

Huff and puff we went up on Tyersall Road!

That made our cardio exercise done in just 1 minute!

As some of you might have realised by now, I simply fell in love with Kacey Musgraves "Rainbow' which I just came to know few days ago.  However, the Rainbow has a dark undertones.  Just like the Beethoven classical Moonlight Sonato which I tried playing this morning.

Dark music.

Ya, Moonlight Sonota which I was told was about death in the first movement.

So I did some research.  Yes, a romantic classic , mesmerizing and yet heartbreaking emotional piece.

Rainbow on the other hand is about letting go of our brolly.  Storms and rainbows.

Reflection

As I was walking into the lower Botanic Gardens this morning, I could not help thinking about the tent we were in and the trellis we walked through before getting our bikes.

First it was this monitor lizard sign that caught my attention! LOL.

Because John lost his mask while peddling non- stop uphill at Tyersall, we decided not to walk further except at the tent!  There were a couple of Social Distancing officers around! (They were definitely early birds trying to catch their naughty worms in the park!)

This cock was kind of a bully. The Hen was timid!

Cock fellow reminded me of the rainbow !

So yes, trellis reminded me of climbers and VINES!.

My walk this morning was spot on 2 questions.

1. What does the TENT mean to you?

2. What does the TRELLIS mean to you?

Perhaps my mood had been somber this week.  Kind of DARK alright.

No wonder I had affection for the Rainbow and Moonlight Sonota.  Hmmmmm.

Aha! But while preparing this short video capture of the morning walk this evening - I was kind of uplifted UP! YEAH!!!

20211019_Beethoven attempt for Moonlight Sonata!

The same bouquet of flowers bought from Ikea now cost $25! Instead of previous $9.90! Was the previous an error in pricing or....LOL (Bought on 19/10/21 as a gift for SIL - No fresh flowers allowed...so fake ones!)

Humans tend to be lazy. Lack discipline hor?

2 days ago got a nudge email from my handsome teacher. 

Nudges are good. They push u to keep on keeping on. 

Well he simplified the Beethoven Moonlight Sonata!

I am not the Classical kind. Cannot read Bean sprouts. 

Aha. He made it sound so easy!

So here is an attempt ! WowBBBeethovennn!

My first attempt at classical piece actually. But only the first  8 bars . LOL

Thanks to my piano coach Zach.  Forced into trying to play it!

Well, kind of enjoyed it!

Some Facts about this Moonlight Sonata which I just learnt!

• Published in 1801 (Gosh 220 years ago!)
• The first movement is a death scene
• The music is DARK. Has a mesmerizing yet heartbroken mood
• Has 3 movements - C#m / Dflat major and C#m
• A romantic classical piece
• Beethoven dedicated this to his 16 YO student.  Fell in and out of love
• B was not deaf when he composed this although he had ear symptoms since 1798

Reflections

Played this song for my SIL this afternoon.

Interesting she wrote the question after hearing "What does it mean that there is a rainbow hanging over your head?"

Yah. It made me ponder again in deeper thots this evening.

I am a rainbow chaser.  I am.  

Because the Lord gave me one , 18 years ago on 3/4/2003.

A preparation for me heart to receive my John's diagnosis of cancer shortly after.

So rainbows....have a very special place in my heart.

Actually there are 2 verses about rainbows in both Genesis and Revelation.  The beginning and the end of the bible.

But there is only 1 specific verse about the rainbow over His head.

This is found in Rev 10:1-2

"I saw another mighty angel coming down from heaven, surrounded by a cloud, with a rainbow over his head"

 

Witnessed this awesome ray coming out of the clouds this morning 15/10/21.

A ray of hope flickers in the sky.

So rainbows?

• His covenant love for us
• His promise of watching over us
• A sign of God's faithfulness

Lamentations 3:21-26

" Yet I still dare to hope when I remember this : The faithful love of the Lord never ceases.  His mercies never cease.  Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. I will say to myself "The Lord is good to those who depend on him., to those who search for him.  So it is good to wait quietly for the salvation from the Lord"

20211013- My first ART test!

 13/10/21 - Had this ART test!

Nope - nothing artistic about this... it is the COVID test!

Was a little apprehensive at first. 

Afterall, it was my first nose digging!

Much that I would love not to be poked, but guess no choice due to wanting to visit my SIL who had been warded in hospital since last Monday.

Spotted this little cute fellow @ ABC Hawker centre on 14/10/21!

Back in my kampong days, such chicks aint no pets!

This one kept in the flat and wore pampers on its backside!

Owner had 2 of these. This one is called Porridge!

As I walked away after holding little Porridge, I couldn't help wondering how lucky this bird was.

It is so loved that it would never ended up as KFC or Chicken rice or Porridge after all!

Well, my sister said this type used to be called as "Jorn Kee'

It aint grey on the skin, but rather Black! oh well!!!

Got a last minute lobang for this free ticket (else S$25 per head) to the Glass art display at Gardens by the Bay!

Dale Chihuly's first Asian Exhibition! This was in London's Botanical Garden, Kew Gardens.  Came to Spore in May2021 and just ended on 3/10/21.

Went without much expectation!

But came back in awe of this glass blooms! Quite amazing!

I Love it!
