20260123 Zhuhai day Trip!

 

Left Macau for Zhuhai and Shenzhen !

1. Shocking to see that we were the only 4 humans at the land crossing to Zhuhai from Macau! So quiet!!!!

2. ⁠Saw the 40km HK-Zhuhai long above sea bridge as we cabbed from Macau to ZH. 

3. ⁠Spent half a day at Zhuhai to look see:) Their Moon Oyster Opera theatre was quite a sight. BIG. There was a heli ride for 3 min @ about S$75 for an aerial view of this. Their New Summer replica palace was so so. “Donated” rm10 for a name poem which was quite chim ! 😂 his job at stake now with AI!

4. ⁠The SZ bridge was quite a new one. Construction started 2016. But only opened in 2024! Upon approaching the Sz , had to go under for 5km as the sea route cos the sea route required for passing ships etc. Really helped to cut the timing from ZH to SZ to less than 1 hour 20 min!

5. ⁠Went to Wanxiang QianHai mall and saw so many beautiful cats! Fat furry. Chubby. ! cat petting for RM38 an hour! More than 100 cats in the arena! Gorgeous furry fellows. Almost wanted to have a pet too! But too late after dinner last nite ! 😂

20260123 Macau Experience

 First time in Macau!

1.Macau's total area is approximately 30.5 km² (one of the smallest regions in the world) The territory consists of the Macau Peninsula and two islands, Taipa and Coloane, which are now connected by reclaimed land 

2. Population only about 700k

3. Old town @ Senado Square boast of history of Portuguese way back in 1800s with the ruins of St Paul’s under restoration now. 

4.  Is it a City of Dreams for those wanting to be rich? 😂 Massive impressive  hotels with huge casinos on their entrances. All located at Cotai Area.  A mini Vegas I was told!

5. And if you haven’t been to Europe? Perhaps their mock ups of London , Paris and Venice can be a good option to walk around! 😆 Night scenes pretty!

5. Bus fares is about RMB 6 per pax per journey. Taxis from airport to our hotel was about RMB70. Cos Macau is a small place. 😝 

So we did a quick Macau in one day! Taipa, Senado, Coloane and Cotai!
