20250801-A Dragonfly Moment

Wow. Now is August! 8 Mths have just flew past in a twinkling of an eye!

 

Today was dragonflies watching day. That heron came much earlier and feasted itself, as usual. 

My friends told me that dragonflies are good. Seeing them around means the eco system is clean and clear! Well , thank God that we see the red and blue ones fleeting around often at the pond. 

So today , I managed to capture with the IPhone some of the shots! Big bulging eyes! Translucent wings! 😂 

Here goes this morning fleeting thots. What kind of moments do you have today? Huh?

20250724 A Nebula Nite @LH! Lagoon and Trifid Nebulae!

 

 

After the Nebulae watch on 24/7 Thursday night? I was so so inspired by the stars above. For the first time I watched how Sean used his Dwarf equipment (cost about $600?) to print capture Nebula!  We needed a good clear sky and thank God we had it ! Friday nite was really cloudy!

It was a M8 and M20 capture ! The Lagoon and Trifid Nebulae.  Caught 2! At this time of

The year ! Not too bad!!!

Following that ? Questions came in!

What is the universe?

What is a galaxy?

What is a nebula?

What is the Milky Way?

How far are these nebulae from earth?🌏 

I studied this afternoon. And put together the simplified whole picture. 

Standing on this round globe called 🌍 earth! We are part of the sun solar system in the Milky Way galaxy. But we are just one of the billions of galaxies in this universe. This is how small we are. 😂 

Are there life in other galaxies? Still a mystery!

My composer song 🎵 was quite befitting to the understanding of our Creator God who made us!

Educational. Inspirational. Look up to the stars at night. And keep wondering yah!

20250619- Mui#6 song “A Time for everything” ECC3

 19/6/25

Today I composed this tune to Ecc 3. “A Time for everything” My 6th composition since I started in 2023?

Yesterday was the handover of our distributorship to an old customer. Come 1/7/25, we will be considered totally retired and “liberated”? Our friendship with our 35-year Japanese principal finally came to a close. . ..So yes, saying goodbye is never easy.  And we must learn to let go when the time comes. Because there is a time for everything. A season for every activity.  

With the current Israel and Iran on going war now happening , we wonder when will peace come right? Hello God, where are you now?

Back in 935BC, King Solomon’s dad who was King David fought in many wars too. And he wrote in Ecclesiates, there is nothing new under the sun.  Bring forward 1971, late John Lennon released his song “Happy Christmas War is over “  Really? No No. wars are ongoing in many parts of the world now.  Wars? They are nothing new too. 

Love and Hatred. There will be unceasing wars if hatred persists. This is quite a dark world we are living in now.  Only light can dispel darkness. Real peace can only come when the Prince of Peace comes back a second time - to bring real world peace. 

Hence we ought to embrace and observe the seasons of time. It is thus important to watch as world events unfold before our very eyes. It is imperative that we redeem our time wisely. The clock is always ticking. Tik Tok Tik Tok!

I like Ecclesiastes. A profound book of wisdom for the search of meaning of life by King Solomon. His reflection on life and his conclusion is that earthly pursuits are ultimately futile without a connection to God. 

The birth of Christ as we celebrate Christmas -He broke the timeline with the AD and BC. What an awesome God who came on earth to redeem us mortals from sin.  His death on the cross which we celebrate Good Friday. And Easter as we rejoice his resurrection of life from the grave.  May we seize the time to Know Him cos we may not know if we ever have such a time. Thank God we are not living in Israel or Iran now where missiles fly above us! We can be called Home- anytime!

So we decided to walk to Lau Pa Sat via

Ann Siang Hill through to Amoy Street! A little short cut!

The pavement now was so well sheltered and out came us beside this temple at Amoy Steet!

along 130 Cecil Street , came back to the place where I Worked 36 years ago! UMBC. And then occupied by previous first co Singapora Building Society which was later renamed as Singapura Finance. Just wondering what the probability of such a coincidence of ex co occupying the next co I was working in? Ha ha ha.

Took the MRT from Bays @ MBS back home after a good evening stroll. A little evening out of less than 3 hours!

20250614 Blue Lake- Pulai Kangkar Trek

Only 30 min from Tuas to arrive at Base Of  Blue Lake!

We started at 9am from base.

We took the shorter route after arriving @ Blue lake to get back to the car park at 10:30am  whereas the other group went ahead with the full trek of 3 hours 

Where earth meets sky!

Boulders and red soil ! quarry place!

7:30 am at Gelang Patah coffee shop for breaky!

Saw the Duck truck!
