20201108- Chestnut? Dairy Farm? What a Cool Sunday Morning Walk!

What an unique flower captured at the Singapore Quarry!

We started at 7:30am... ended back at 9am...

So cool this day! No sunny sun!

As we walked past CHIJ- I saw all these figurines! What a capture too!

A great reminder of my Lord Jesus Christ - He was the Cross bearer for our sins so that we can obtain righteousness through Him and not by our own works.

Amen to His Grace! God's Richest At Christ's Expense! Costly one!

Reminded of Matt 9:12 " I will have MERCY, and not sacrifice; for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance"

Mercy indeed! God's not giving us what we deserve

when Grace is God's giving us what we do not deserve!

Are you a good person?

If you are not- thank God, you qualify to receive His grace and mercy!

Who needs a doctor? The healthy or the sick? Jesus asked in Matt 9:13

20201107- A Don Moen Zoom Time! Music is not Worship and Worship is not Music!

7/11/2020 : Sat Morning! Live with Don Moen

Started to doodle as I began listening to Don's Worship and teaching session over ZOOM.

Before I logged into the ZOOM room, I had prepared my cup of Kopi for my morning cuppa!

So it was so great to hear Don's affirmation that one thing good about this Covid for worship was that we could have our little coffee as we worship in our own little spaces! Awesome!

Music is not Worship and Worship is not Music!
Worship is not based on musical style!
So what is WORSHIP? It is sincere, heartfelt, motivated by gratitude *SPIRIT* - rooted in the unchanging timeless WORD of God *TRUTH*

Do you wish to go back to "Normal"?

This COVID change has forced us to rethink about what is norm.

Not nec bad as we remember Rom8:28.

We embrace technology. The virtual screens and walls that connect even more people that we can ever imagine!

What does Rev 1:7 really mean "Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him..." or Luke 21:27 " And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of power and coming with the clouds of heaven"

20201106- What an early Orchard Lit up for Christmas - Night Bike!

6/11/2020 - Orchard Christmas Light UP!

We decided to bike along the beginning of Orchard Road (Tanglin) via Grange Road to Great World on 6/11/2020. Friday night.

My bell was not working and navigating the Friday night crowd was not that pleasant.

No Ring Ring! No Warning for the pedestrians. Just not used to it.

Anyway, to our disappointment, Zion Road Hawker Centre was CLOSED for renovation till next year! Oh MY!

But it turned out that we had a good chance to taste this so called "famous Eng Wanton Noodle" at GWC basement. Not disappointed as the chilli was ummh! YEAH!

Reflections

Time just flew by us!

It has been 7 mths since April COvid lockdown.

And we are still kind of being locked down - still not more than 5 in a meet.

Borders are still closed! OUCH!

Lord Have Mercy on Us!

Heal Our Land!

20201030 - Kayak at Ubin 3 Rivers! Channel Crossing !

30/10/2020 : At Pulau Ubin - Going under the Jelutong Bridge

7:30 am : We set off from Pasir Ris Beach towards Pulau Ubin ( Granite Island).

8:00 + : AFTER paddling (NON STOP!!!) for more than half hour over the 2km plus channel crossing..We finally arrived at the first river in Ubin...did 4 not 3 rivers actually....Sungei Puaka, Jelutong, Besar and Nordin....
