20100828:Remembering Rainbows_Ezekiel 1:28

Have been pondering over rainbows of late. Ever since the Lord painted the 3rd one for me on 8/7/2010 at the tennis court.
I was reminded of my previous rainbows - the 2nd in 2004, Perth and the very first sighting in 2003.

Back then I thought the word rainbow was only found in Genesis 9 and Revelation 10 (first and last book of our bible). But now I realised that Ezekiel wrote about the likeness of the glory of the LORD - glowing metal as if full of fire, brilliant light surround him. Ez 1:28 "Like the appearance of a rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the radiance around him"

Life is like a rainbow. It will be full of ups and downs. But it is still a rainbow - full of colours. Life is not black and white. It changes in seasons - displaying the colors of spring, summer , autumn and winter. At the end of the rainy day, the clouds will come out and the sun will still shine! (This you can bet on!) With rain showering through the glorious sun rays - light is deflected and the bow is formed. We get a RAIN+BOW!

So, remember when you behold a rainbow - we remember Yeshua - the Covenantal God of love.
Let our hearts leap for joy and hope. May our faith be steadfast - in Him and Him we trust and revere. He remembers us. We only need to believe.

My first attempt in making a youtube movie...RAINBOW. A bit amateurish must admit. Abrupt in the ending because I do not know how to fade off the music as yet.

All photos/ videos taken personally using the old Casio Exlim, Sony and the recent one via the I-phone. The first photo was from the Marina Barrage with the Marina Bay Sands as backdrop. A very nice place indeed to fly kites. The aero display was from the apartment in the reverse direction of MBS taken on our very own 45th national day 9/8/2010. Memories of the 3 rainbows captured over the last 7 years (what a perfect number!), spanning over 2003 and 2010. Fireworks? Those were taken in 2008 at the Fireworks festival.

Like rainbows, fireworks are awesome to watch. One is natural glory, whereas the other man made. Both display what the brilliance of light is like. The shekinah glory of Yeshua - I believe is beyond such comparison. But this is perhaps just a glimpse of His glory. Greater things are yet to come! Beautiful song by Chris Tomlin.

It is my prayer that you be lifted up in spirit as you view this music video. Intercede for our nation. Worship Yeshua, the King of Kings and Lords of Lords - Hosanna in the highest!
Come, Lord Jesus. The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God's people. Amen [Rev:22:20-21]

20100813: Rev18:22 The music of the sun? S*T*A*R

http://www.foxnews.com/scitech/2010/06/22/scientists-decode-song-sun/
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/science/space/7840201/Music-of-the-sun-recorded-by-scientists.html

Recently in June 2010, scientists have found a way to translate those eruptions of the sun flares into music. Very interesting. You can hear that music of the sun in the links above.

Actually the sun is a *star. What are they and what are they made of? Surprisingly, there are merely made of largely about 75% hyrdrogen and 25% helium and of course other gases.

Something struck me thinking after my keyboard lesson this evening. In the study of the Mystery Babylon, I was led to Rev 18:22. there will come a time "where the music of harpists and musicians, flute players and trumpeters will never be heard again" REALLY? I love music and this really woke me up. And then I came across this article of how scientists had recently decoded the song of the sun. Some people thinks it sounded like the "F" - f-a-c chord tone. Have a hear.
  1. S*- Splendor & Supernatural Creation
I am reminded of Genesis 1. No one today fully understands the universe - the sun, the moon and the stars and the world of cosmos in the outer atmosphere of our little planet earth. Scientists are still in the midst of discovering new things - like the recent music of the sun conorary flares.

The bible answers it all. In the beginning...
And in Day4, God created the sun and the moon and the stars. And they were given authority. Yes - to govern the day and the night!

We are His supernatural creation. In 1 Cor 15:38-41. God gives each of us a body as he has determined. All flesh is not the same; Men have one kind of flesh, animals have another, birds another and fish another. There are also heavenly bodies and there are earth bodies; but the splendor of the heavenly bodies is one kind and the splendor of earthly is another.

The sun has one kind of splendor, the moon another and the stars another; and the star differs from star in splendor. WOW!

2. T*- Time : The day of the Lord is at hand
The article talks about the sun's activity- when the solar flare production increases, the resulting "space storm" can have catastrophic results here on earth, destroying electronic equipment, overheating power grids and damaging satellites. Nasa warned that the sun's activity is starting to increase following an extended period of low activity and is on course to throw out unprecendented levels of magnetic energy into the solar system by 2013. (that's about 3 years' time...)

Luke 21 talks about the signs of the end of age. In verse15:" There will be signs int he sun, moon and stars"
In Joel, 3 times, V2:10,, 2:31 & 3:15" The sun and moon will be darkened and the stars no longer shine" In King James, it says "withdraw their shining"
Acts2:20 and Rev 6:12 speaks about "the sun turned to darkness/ black and the moon to blood/ red"

Well well, so if the sun is now making music, when the time comes where it darkened, the flares will no long be flaring, & there shall be no longer music. Rev18:22 Music stops? Kind of sad, isn't it?

3. A*- Awestruck?
By which time, when this happens - well it could be in our lifetime of this generation, we will all be awestruck and fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim He is the amazing God! Like the song by Chris Tomlin "Indescribable" which I just learnt this evening "Who imagined the sun and gives source to its light yet conceals it to bring us the coolness of night - Indescribable, uncontainable, You placed the stars in the sky and you know them by name - You are amazing God, all powerful, untamable...." (God has given us 10 fingers - Learning keyboard just made me realise how difficult it can be to coordinate the brain and finger actions! Some of the fingers on the left and right hand just fail to obey what I want it to do! This waltz rhythm is very tough! Walking those fingers is not an easy feat! Ha ha!)

Something for fun: Try using your right hand and leg to move in opposite direction - you will realise that the leg will auto be in syn with your hand on top...

4. R* - Rend our Heart -Seek Refuge in the Sun of Righteousness - Jesus, Son of God

Joel exhorts us to repent and return to the Lord with all our heart with fasting weeping and mourning. Joel2:13 Rend our hearts and not our garments. Return to the LORD our God for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love and he relents from sending calamity. Who knows? He may turned and have pity and leave behind a blessing..

Mal4:2 But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings. And you will go out and leap like calves released from the stall.

Final thoughts:
Even when the physical sun stops shining, we have a spiritual sun of righteousness who is imcomparable and unchangeable. When the music fades and all is stripped away, let us come to the very heart of worship of Almighty Heavenly Father. Some third world countries do not even have proper electricity - so one cannot really have the keyboard to play. But out of the heart the mouth speaks. The Lord has given us an amazing vocal chords that can produce lovely harmonious music (unless one is tone-death). Together with that and a right heart of attitude, we can still please our Father above. Even the dumb and mute can worship. It is the heart the Lord seeks.

20100801: The F-I-S-H spa experience!

Today my niece Charlotte treated me a an ever first fish spa experience! It was a pretty expensive 15-minute nimbling and ticklish experience!

Had just done the bread experience and now going thr0ugh a fish experience!
F-I-S-H!!!

1. First Disciples:-
Jesus called his first disciples, Peter, Andrew, James and John in Galilee as he started his ministry. All the first 4 of them were fishermen! And we too are supposed to be fishers of men and make our beautiful cleansed feet be used for the extension of His kingdom of preaching the Good news!

2. IF Question -Inquiry:- Luke 11:11 "If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?" Oh what a wonderful kind-hearted Father we have!

3. Supernatural Provisions:-
The bible records the miracle feeding of the thousands using only 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish, or 7 loaves and several fish. The coin in the fish mouth too speaks of the timely provision by Jehovah Jireh! (Seems to me that the diet of those people during Jesus' time was pretty healthy - BREAD & FISH, bread & fish....Fillet-O-Fish Burger!)

4. Honouring Jesus
Jonah was gobbled up by a big fish for 3 days 3 nites. It reminded me of Matt 12:38-42. "Jesus answered the pharisees that a wicked an adulteress generation asked for a miraculous sign! But none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. For as Jonah was 3 days 3 nights in the belly of a huge fish, so will the Son of Man will be 3 days & 3 nights in the heart of the earth. The men of Ninevah will stand up at the judgement with this generation and condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and now one greater than Jonah is here. The Queen of the South will rise at the judgement with this generation and condemn it; for she came from the ends of the earth to listen to Soloman's widsom and now one greater than Soloman is here" Who is the one greater who is here?? Jesus Himself declared as the Bread of Life. He is also our greatest mentor in helping us to be better 'Fisher of men" Hence to God be the glory! Hosanna to the King of kings - Jesus! Lift Him higher and He will draw all men. He shall increase and we shall decrease.

Thinking of a fishing retreat or spa? It would surely rejuvenate you up indeed! Fishing is serious and can be yet fun! Being tickled by a school of more than 50 little fishes was indeed rather therapeutic - squirmish experience indeed!

20100722 :My Interesting Bread experiment & Power of Speech - visible and invisible!

24th July 2010

Interesting experiment on these 3 slices of Gardenia bread. Having gone through the recent Quantum Leap seminar by Dr David Van Kovering and having seen some other people using rice as projects, I was motivated to do this experiment myself.

On 12/7/2010 : I started. The first slice was my Blessed Bread, the second in the middle was my Control Bread (which I did not speak to) and the last was my Cursed Bread.

So for the next ten days continuously, faithfully each morning I picked up the Blessed Bread and sang melodiously to it with words such as " I love you, you are good, wonderful, awesome, fantastic, beautiful and I am going to eat you...."

For the Cursed Bread , I used a very harsh tone with words " I hate you, you ugly stupid, idiot nincompoop, useless bump, ugly, smelly..I do not want to eat you..."

I was so so curious over the next few days. Up to Day 9, nothing seemed to happen and I started to wonder if there was so much preservative in that bread! But viola! On Day 10, it happened! I was so pleased and excited with the results! The photo taken was self explanatory!

Lessons learnt from this simple experiment:
1. Power of our Speech
The bible says in
Prov 18:21 "Death and life [are] in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof."

How true this is! The choice is ours to make. James 3:10 says Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.

Look at the bread and its effects. Our spoken words and intent of our heart can bring life or death! What would you choose?

2
. Invisible vs the visible
There are many things in the world that are currently naked to our human eye. It does not mean that when one cannot see it means it is not there. On the contrary, quantum physics we study today uses such nanotech in space , bioscience, medical science etc.

Romans 1:20

20For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

Colossians 1:16

16For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

My bread experience showed that indeed the invisible part of speech can be translation to manifest visibly itself unto the physical bread. Very clearly seen. Can we seen God? Can we see the electricity? Can we see wind? Obviously not. But by virtue we see the beautiful nature created world, by virtue of seeing our ceiling light and the swaying of the rustling leaves of the trees, or feeling the electrical shock or the wind, we know their existence!

MM Lee of Singapore in today's papers acknowledged that the recent floodings were an act of God that man cannot prevent. So there is a God. Otherwise, insurance companies would not have exclusion clauses to incorporate non payouts that were due to acts of God, wouldn't they?

God is in CONTROL, not man. He is the Creator God eternal.

Reflections

This bread experience is indeed an eye opener for me to the world of the invisible. Col 1:17And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. The spiritual world to many is the unseen world, mystical to some, mystery to others.

Is there really a God out there? When we pray - do we understand what we are doing? Buddhist prays, Muslims prays. Hindus prays. So do we. But Jesus, the Son of the living God who came to this world about 2000 years ago, is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son, in whom we have redemption through his blood and even the forgiveness of sins.

Jesus, He died for me and you. We are redeemed. Nothing is free .It cost him His life. But yet He rose again against all odds as a living proof of eternity, conquering death. My breath is held by Him. My heart beats because He gave me that every beat of my heart. This world is not mine. I am merely a pilgrim on this journey of life. Faith and hope and love. The greatest of these 3? Love. God is love. Love cannot be seen. But it can be felt as visible expression. That first piece of bread had my love but not the cursed rejected one. Simple rule - LOVE. The world needs it badly. Give your loved ones your bread of love today! Yeah Yeah!

8/7/2010:Quantum leap and Rainbow

May you be encouraged with this "lower bandwidth" rainbow as we now know due to the fallen world ...Attended this Quantum Leap conference by Dr David Van Koeveruing .This was taken on Day 2 - 8/7/2010. I walked home from church and had this little drizzle coming down at me. SMSed to my hubby to pray that it would not rain as we would suppose to have tennis at 7pm. As I got home, I thought the conditions were right for a rainbow sighting. So out went I to the usual home balcony, but could not see one about about 6:15pm? Quiff feeling? Ha Ha. But a little disappointed not seeing one.

To my amazement, as we got down to the courts at 7:10, there the rainbow stood. My heart took not just a leap of joy but rather a "quantum leap" of joy! And of course, God answered our prayers - there was no rain and so we had our tennis! Best of all, He gave me this rainbow knowing I was 'looking for it earlier at the balcony" Ha Ha Ha!I think when we really get to heaven, yes - indeed the colours would be exceeding this 7 colours. More radiant as we would be in that upper bandwidth by then.To me, this rainbow is yet again a reminder of our Father's covnenantal love for us. 7 - perfect number. Rainbows always fill my heart with joy and anticipation. (like William Shakespeare quoted : My heart leaps for joy when I behold a rainbow" Are you numb to rainbow sightings? May be to some, you might say "So what?"..But to me , each time I see a rainbow, I thought it was my angel who painted it for me!

For all that quantum physics & periodic elements table memories that were brought to my mind in those school days during these past 3 days , it is a better appreciation of what science and the bible is all about. Science today will continue to confirm what the Word of God says. Our human mind is too minute to understand His ways. His awesome creative power. Now beginning to appreciate the difference in the Gen 1:3 when He said "let there be light" and the other formation of the 2 great lights that followed in v14...Col 1:15 for by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible...all things were created by him and for him. V17 He is before all things and in him all things hold together. Well well..Jesus Himself declared " I am the light of the world..".those electrons are paired together indeed. One affect the other in the unseen world - thanks to Science and today's technological advancement.

May we all take that quantum leap of faith. Faith in Hebrews 11 is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. V3 says that by faith we understand that the universe was formed at God's command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.

Now Genesis, in the beginning makes more sense, isn't it?

Light and waves. Photons, electrons, atoms, sub-atoms..all this thing called nanotechnology...I do not understand what was that periodic table of elements was during schooldays. All I remembered was that we were told to memorise those numbers, short names and even their atomic mass! And our human body is made up of about 93% of oxygen, carbon and hydrogen! Interesting. Those invisible qualities now more quantifiable through scientific breakthroughs!
Think about it - how in the world can that little CD or DVD play back those music and videos?? Ever wondered about those devices and the inventors behind such things? Today we have medical breakthroughs of nano inputs that can kill only cancer cells and not the good cells. That's how precise it is!

May rainbows colour our life in this world. We are alive because Jesus has not done with us yet. We love because He first loved us. And hope in Christ will never disappoint. We have got a home in gloryland that outshines the sun. Times may be tough on earth but behind each rain, we can catch that rainbow of hope when the Son shines through!
We need Him indeed to hold us together. Only in HIM can we have our being. Do you have Him ?

1/7/2010: Munich Journey - Lost and found

Came back from Munich on 1/7/2010. The photo is taken from one of the mountains in Munich - the Bavarian Alps behind.

What did I learn from this trip? Well, the photo showed a winding road through the mountains.

Isaiah 2:2 In the last days the mountain of the LORD's temple will be established as chief among the mountains; it will be raised above the hills and all nations will stream to it. V3 Many people will come and say "Come and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD and to the house of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways so that we may walk in his paths" The law will go out from Zion, the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

Before we left for Munich , Germany - many things happened. Health issues, car refused to start on the night of our travel, almost missed the flight due to the error in the timing shown on our travel ticket, being picked up by the airport buggy as we were the last 2 to board the plane...and most memorable of all....John's backpack with his PC, camera and passport were accidentally left on one of the benches inside the Munich airport upon arrival. Can you imagine travelling in the cab for 40km to the hotel and then realise the horror of a missing precious bagpack? Prayed and sent sms to some friends and loved ones to pray on our way back to the airport to look for it.

Well, the Lord showed Himself faithful and true and gracious and merciful...the little bagpack was left sitting at the bench for an hour without anyone stealing it! Ha Ha Ha! What a joy of having been found! Indescribable.

God is great all the time! He is omnipresent, omniscient and omnipotent. His angelic host guards His precious ones.
May we all indeed marvel at His Holy mountain and continue to walk in His ways...Our life journey is like this winding road in the mountains. For every twist and turns, He is always there for us!

1Kings 17:14: Jug Oil vs Gulf Oil

In this beginning of this year 2010, I started on studying Elijah and amongst one of the readings was the Widow's oil at Zarephath.
On 20/4/2010, the Horizon Deepwater oil rig exploded in the Gulf of Mexico.

Today, 7/6/2010, as I am still writing, the cap on the blown-out well in the Gulf is capturing a half-million gallons a day, or anywhere from one-third to three-quarters of the oil spewing from the bottom of the sea. Do you know 1 gallon is 4.5 litres?? Our car uses up about 1 litre for every 10km and right now it cost about S$2/ per litre Here in S'pore?

I used to scuba dive. I cannot fathom undertaking repair jobs under the sea. Those who dive would know what I mean. How does one stop the unending leak from the seabed? Real problem. Both ways man had it! Toxic oil flowing from under the sea and the counteractive chemicals poured in to the sea to try to stop the oil from spreading.
Immeasureable repercussions we see in months down the lane!

I felt lousy over the weekend.

1 Kings 17:14 LORD, the God of Irsael says ..." and the jug of oil will not run dry until the day the LORD gives rain on the land"
Reflections:
The jug oil of Elijah gives life but the Gulf oil in Mexico is death.
We need to pray for the hand of mercy of our Father.
This gulf oil will not run dry until the day the LORD gives rain on the land.
The widow at Zarephath reminds us that that place is one of polishing.
Let's us be reminded of who we are and where we are heading to in life.
The God of the universe is omnipresent, omniscient and omnipotent. May we humble ourselves and repent and turn to Him, pray and seek His face.
He is the source of peace in the midst of such turmoil on our planet earth.

20260804 My First ER Experience!

What a memorable day! My ER tag at TTSH on 4/8/26! Background :- On 1/8 night I suddenly had a flood of floaters overwhelming me. Never seen...
