We are into Day24 of the Circuit Breaker. Last Saturday, many sang "Home" in our own homes aloud at 8pm.
I couldn't help but thinking of the ultimate Home above.
Little Red Dot is also home to more than 323k workers living in the dormitories here. We are currently surpassing 16k mark for COVID numbers.
Majority of them came from this foreign workers sector. It is an embarassment to know that the living conditions of the dorms of these migrants is in such a pathetic state of affairs. Covid19 has made revelationary eye openers to many here. Perhaps our compassionate Father has heard the cries.
Lev 19:33 When a stranger sojourns with you in your land, you shall not do him wrong. You shall treat the stranger who sojourns with you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God"
My late parents came all the way from China to Spore way back in the 1940s to make a living. How similar is this to our current migrants issue here right now.
But before these migrants earn their keep, many had to pay agent fees to allow them to get a job here. Not only that , the government impose a levy of at least $750 per worker per month from their employer. How sad to know about their living conditions in a so called "affluent" society like Red Dot.
Hence I am looking towards ultimate HOME truly and surely.
